Creating Lore


Initially I thought I'd create lore for this---until I realised that it's a bit of a fraught endeavour for me, and explain so in the last few pages of the PDF. Instead, I try to venture and explain how to create lore together, using a simple dramaturgical trick of asking a group to define the same key terms, and then repeat their definitions back for the group to consider. Such an exercise helps casts (groups, gaming or otherwise) to expose the values they expect of and enjoy in narratives. 

This process can be used to tackle/prevent more problematic aspects of narratives in game, but that merits another post if and when I update the game. Not to mention that I think some games need to fly before returning to the roost for another peck of dramatic theory.
